The Dative Case
The Dative case is used for the indirect object of the sentence. The Dative case can be used without the prepositions "to" and "for":
I fought for the dog - Yi ronic sila honsat (Animate)
I spoke to the king - Yi tenoic sila herkenut
I gave the book to the river - Yi dýtoi sila becaran sila wōnyasat (Inanimate)
The Dative case is shown by the suffix "-t" or, if inanimate, "-at".
