Introducing Yourself
Referring back to the pervious lesson, learning how to talk about yourself and asking questions about other people is fairly simple.
Telling people your name
There are many ways of telling people your name in Hopyratian, depending on the level of formality you are speaking at:
Dia kenim ven enti_____ - this is very formal, used when addressing Kings and members of the Sausonoso (High Council). This is like saying "My name is" in English.
Dia kenim enti____ - this is also formal, used when introducing yourself to people you meet for the first time who are older or more superior than you such as a soldier. This like saying "I am called" in English.
Yi'tu____ - this is very informal, used when meeting someone for the first time. This is like saying "I'm" in English.
Now you have learn that there are different levels of formality in Hopyratian, depending on what situation you're in. The first uses the word "ven" which is the 3rd person pronoun meaning "it". Pronouns are very often used to construct formal sentences.
